Research is at the core of our business.

Conventional Breeding

We own about 80 hectares of research land, and tested more than ten thousands new corn hybrids, two thousand new rice hybrids, five hundreds canola hybrids, and five hundreds cotton hybrids.

We have rich germplasm resources in our company, which we collected from local and overseas. Based on our original germplasm collections, Origin has developed many corn lines in our corn breeding programs. Through thorough yield trials and advancing the best hybrids, we gradually build up a proprietary line of products.

Each year, Origin advances many new proprietary varieties of corn, cotton, rice, and canola to participate in state and provincial regional trials. Many of them received state or provincial approval after three years of testing. We also have sent hybrids for testing in Germany, United States，Greece, Argentina and other countries. Our research project on "Maize germplasm renewal and commercialization" already passed the mid and small business research foundation funding examination by the Science Department in China.
