Research is at the core of our business.

R&D system

Origin has established an informational and systematic research structure.

We have a research and development center in Beijing. At this center we have a product management department which is in charge of plant pathology, maize breeding, specialty maize breeding, cotton research, canola research, and rice research.

To date, Origin has sixteen research stations crossing main corn, rice, cotton and canola plant area in China. There are 7 breeding stations for corn which located in Haerbin, Changchun, Tieling, Beijing, Zhengzhou, Chengdu, and Kunming; 4 rice breeding stations located in Chengdu, Changsha, Leshan and Kaiyang; 2 for cotton in Zhengzhou and Xiaogan; 2 for canola in Guiyang and Chengdu. Our winter nursery is located on Hainan Island.

We also have a Life Science Research Center at Zhongguancun Life Science Park, with ten thousand square meters of research space. At this center, we have molecular group, transformation group, and molecular marker group. Our commercial oriented research system will ensure Origin maintains its leadership in research and product development.
